Pennsylvania's Coal Production May Surpass All Time June
Philadelphia June 30 Indications show Pennsylvania's anthracite output for June may exceed any June in years. Estimates place June production at 4,259,000 tons, about 250,000 tons above June last year and 500,000 tons above the agreed monthly tonnage. To counter this and support a ten cent per ton price rise starting Monday, July tonnage is to be kept abnormally low at 3,250,000 tons by agreement among anthracite presidents.
