Pow-wow celebrates Indian heritage at Frederick Fairgrounds
A weekend pow-wow sponsored by the American Indian Inter-Tribal Cultural Organization drew participants from 27 tribes including Cherokee, Comanche and Mohican. Dancers wore heavy buckskin outfits while crafts and contests taught and shared culture to attendees in Rockville and Glen Echo.

Diabetic Driver Saved After Drunk-Seeing Stop

Former Catoctin star Kathy Messner in critical condition
Prominent former Catoctin High School athlete Kathy Messner, 18, remains in critical condition at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center after a Friday accident in Baltimore.
