Design work begins on Loy's Station bridge restoration
Experts study the Loy's Station Covered Bridge to plan restoration to its pre fire condition with new planed lumber and a higher load limit. The project costs are $88 600 for design with 72 percent covered by insurance and about $300 000 for construction. The Maryland Historical Trust reviews the plan as locals raise funds and a public hearing is planned.
