Coin Roundup By Ed Rochette From Fort Knox To Budapest
A travel piece recounts a flight from Bucharest to Budapest aboard Tarom 243 with an Antonov AN2. Luggage chaos delays the trip but the Budapest visit reveals lively streets, museums, and the crown of St. Stephan as a major draw. The author notes Hungary’s freer feel versus Romania’s regime, and mentions former U.S. Mint directors Eva Adams and Mary T. Brooks who oversaw the crown’s Fort Knox safekeeping. Guidance questions on coins and coin restoration are appended with expert answers.
