Worker Hurt In Fall From Church Roof
A worker employed by a local roofing firm fractured a vertebra after falling from a ladder on the east side of Calvary Church at 223 East Fifth Street around 3 p.m. Tuesday. He was hospitalized in the United rescue system with a back injury, and earlier a separate farm incident injured Noel Peters on a Bentz Street farm, while a rope break cut another worker’s eyebrow. No traffic deaths were reported in 30 cities of over 4,100 population nationwide last year.
