An unnamed investor group aims to sell the 10,000 square foot site to the aldermen, with a July 11 meeting possible closing. Senate negotiators proposed a three year tax increase of 59 trillion dollars to trim deficits by 69.9 billion next year and 358.8 billion over three years, provoking opposition from President Reagan and House leaders.
