Nikirk Heads State Amvets at Braddock Heights convention
Edwin F Nikirk named state Amvets officer group in Maryland during the third annual convention at the Vindowona Hotel Braddock Heights over the weekend. Officers from Frederick and Cumberland areas were elected to statewide posts with about 150 attendees at the session Saturday and a 7 p.m. dinner. The convention welcomed next year’s gathering to this city with remarks by Jack Lucas and Shell Hoye. A resolution granted honorary membership to all World War II veterans.
