Local Programs Build Foundation for Later Years
Frederick County's physical education program supports every child with lasting habits. Walkersville Elementary hosts a gymnastics program led by Lou Mascaro for 4th and 5th graders. Brunswick High School offers a 7th grade swimming initiative under James Fraser at the YMCA pool. The two efforts stress healthful recreation over elite sport, fostering lifelong fitness and safety skills.
