City Girls Could Be Tough Too
Historian Mari Sandoz defends the resilient city girl, noting pioneer women from New York Baltimore and Boston helped settle the West and cooked, fought, and survived on the overland trail, proving modern women can be self reliant athletic and tough. A separate equity court decree nullifies a deed between the Rudys and Goukers over land on Butterfly Lane. The Goukers are awarded 710 plus costs. A wedding at Fort Detrick features Miss Johnna Lee Rice marrying James Richard Kennedy with elaborate attire and a Fort Detrick reception.
