Calves Die As Truck and Car Turn Over On Foggy Route 15
Two accidents on Route 15 near Lewis town in fog left a cattle truck and a sedan overturned within half an hour. A load of about 30 calves died when the truck driven by John F. Clark ran off the road south of the railway crossing. Clark escaped with minor bruises. In Gettysburg, Alexander Light’s 1947 Plymouth rolled over at the north curve. Light escaped with slight scratches as no charges were filed. Both vehicles were cleared and no highway block occurred.

Frederick native William Turner Anderson died in Charlotte North Carolina after an accidental death at about age 52. He led a large electrical contracting and supply firm and was active in civic affairs. He leaves his wife Ruth Stanfield Anderson two daughters Jane Brooke and Mrs. Greenwald, a son William T. Anderson, his mother Mrs. William Anderson a sister and two brothers among others. Funeral services were to be held at St Martin’s Church in Charlotte.
