Twenty years ago winners of the Essay contest on the Historical and Educational Value of Productions like My Maryland arrived in Frederick for a luncheon at the Francis Scott Key Hotel. A special Mayor and Aldermen meeting will decide bids for summer police uniforms, the prior meeting authorizing bids. About a quarter of Montgomery County's 200 plus public school teachers plan to enter six week summer programs as many schools open this week and all by July 4. teachers must complete such courses every four years.
