Groundbreaking for Frederick County animal health lab in Montevue Lane area
A 1.5 million, one story 8000 square foot facility breaks ground with state county leaders present. Construction began April 4 and the lab aims to open within a year next to Animal Control and Humane Society offices. The project is statewide funded with county share of 41 percent and will include a crematorium with 500 pounds per hour capacity.
