Census Tuesday shows 2.50 more people paying attention to county bridges in Carroll County. Local officials note increased awareness and potential funding discussions stemming from the new figures.
A county report notes several bridge projects in progress around Eckers School House area with a 145 foot overall span and a 90 foot span over Ben's Branch near New London. The Board of County Commissioners plans to review sites and finalize the fiscal year budget before July 1, keeping the tax rate at about 1.30.

Dodge and lawn ball events took place at Baker Park as part of the Summer program. North Market beat Washington in dodge ball 6 4, Baker Park defeated Winchester 4 3. Lawn ball saw Baker Park beat North Market 10 3 and Washington 6 3 with several players listed in lineups. A birthday surprise for Mrs. Gross highlighted the day at her home in Feagaville with many friends attending.
In Warmer hospital Gesssburg Pa a car crash left several injured. One operator sustained an eye puncture from debris while Lands and another driver suffered fractures and shoulder injuries.
