Frederick County Targets Home Grown Marijuana Crackdown
Maryland state police and local officers will use 15000 dollars from the DEA to conduct campaigns to locate and destroy marijuana fields in Frederick and upper Montgomery counties during harvest season. Lt. Davis calls the area ideal for cultivation due to rural isolation, and notes less than 5 percent of state arrests are for marijuana growers. The federal program funds manpower planes overtime and fuel to pursue pot fields confidentially.
