State orders toxic dump to clean up
In Annapolis officials announce a July 13 hearing for Dale H. Dickerson over alleged noncompliance with a cleanup order at the Cape St. Clair dump. Dickerson, previously placed on probation in 1983 for operating without a license and burying waste, has only partly cleaned Middletown Road Dump. The state seeks $300,000 in Superfund money from the EPA, while health officials say no immediate health hazard remains.
