Slay, Farmer's 12 Son for Revenge
Georgetown Del June 23 Deliberately planning revenge Henry Williams and James Sharp two Philadelphia colored boys on Willmore Rogers farm three miles from the city shot killed the farmer's fourteen year old son Joan Rogers then dragged his body through a hedge and buried it in a field. A crowd threatened lynching but officials restrained them as evidence pointed to the two boys. Guards placed after dawn discovery of a grave with a blood stain and drag marks near a corn field and bushes.
