Eagles auxiliary sets June meeting and state convention
The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1067 plans its June 15 regular meeting led by President Helen Routsahs with Mary Fawley installed as trustee and life membership awarded to Clara Rhotenhoefer. The 12th Maryland DC state convention, led by Dottie Wolfensberger and Boonie Quatkemeyer, will be in Frederick with events Friday to Sunday, including a memorial service and officer installation. The family picnic is set for August 9 at Monocacy Park.

Red Cross Bloodmobile visited Walkersville Town Hall on June 8 and collected 54 units. Groups earning three or more credits included Walkersville Township with 25, Walkersville Rescue with 10, and Glade Valley Grange with 3. Donors earned pins for one to four gallons, including Clyde M Berger with 210 gallon pin. Volunteers listed include Betty Snyder, Hazel Baker, Phyllis Nowell, and others assisting during the drive.
