Escuminac Storm Claims Dozens of Fishermen

Repairs To Tower Break Completed

Water Superintendent William J. Davis announced that repairs to the tower break and wall at the base of the Tas er were completed. Concrete forms were removed and it will take about four days to cure. About 77 million gallons will be restored as weather and river flow allow. The city is aided by Fort Detrick and the Monocacy river filtration, with sprinkling bans in effect. Nearly 26 city employees assisted with the Grove Lime Company efforts and fish salvage from the reservoir progressed under Albert McPowell and the Lewistown hatchery team.
