Retirement Age Debate Aims to Reform Rigid 63 Rule
Washington officials at a Federal Council on Aging conference seek to move away from the fixed 63 year retirement age. University of Chicago research explores age based on maturity and skill rather than birthdays, arguing 65 may wrongfully retire productive workers while delaying wealth and burdening families. Industry and science push to value experience and preserve non producing elders.
