Maryland Oyster Commission mulls changes after two day probe
A two day investigation by the Maryland State Oyster Commission yielded a call for opinions from tidewater residents before discussing proposed changes to oyster laws. In Washington County raspberries and cherries saw a rush of crates shipped yesterday along the B&O line between Hagerstown and Weverton. A railroad man predicted a short raspberry season as fruit ripens in clusters across stems, with six to seven berries per cluster, boosting rail traffic as an extra train for berries west from Brunswick was contemplated.
