Frederick County aims to redo commissioners’ offices for half the cost
County Manager William Dennis seeks a cheaper path to renovate the third floor at Winchester Hall, aiming for about 162,000 instead of 325,000. The 1993 space study priced the project at 325,484 with 60,000 for furniture, and HVAC and carpeting upgrades are priorities for the fiscal 1998 plan. Commission President Mark Hoke supports funding to benefit the 200th anniversary, noting possible offset from delaying a procurement system purchase in 1997.
