A journey in refurbished elegance aboard the Bandeirante
The Bandeirante train from Brasilia to Sao Paulo travels at about 30.8 mph through plains with armadillos and parrots. First class offers recliner beds, pillows, blankets, and an affordable dining car. A marriage certificate was briefly required for special passage but later overruled. Passengers, including families and students, flock to the modern station amid curiosity and novelty.
