Md program boosts grain storage with three occupancy plans
The Department of Agriculture announced a renewed program to encourage commercial grain storage facilities in Maryland. CCC will underwrite occupancy, not construction, with three plans offering 50 to 73 percent occupancy support for up to six years. Eligible firms, including cooperatives, may file new applications for country elevators and subterminal facilities. Facilities must be commercial warehouses under the Uniform Grain Storage Agreement and ready to receive grain by April 1, 1955.
