Milton P. Nash was elected Grand Knight at a recent St John’s Council No 1622 Knights of Columbus meeting. Other officers named to serve include Millard I Cooley as Deputy Grand Knight and Lous Vo Keyset as another officer for the coming year.
In June 1968 New Market WCTU Flower Mission and Spiritual Life groups met at Mrs Fred Keller’s home. The program featured readings and poems, county convention reports, and prayers. Refreshments followed. next meeting set for July 9 at seven in New Market hall. Central Methodist church WSC held a June meeting with worship, scripture, a duet, and a children focus program. next gathering planned for July 10 at the church.
