A group including Antone Myer aged 13 Lizzie Myer Ida Myer Mrs Myer and John Ferrer all members of the Myer family perished at Monchan in Lake Sammamish while attempting to rescue a boy. Miss Bessie Lambertson of Worcester County Maryland was shot by Ladie Davis after a rejected proposal while driving with him. Davis later killed himself with a bullet to the breast near the attack site. The case ends with the victim found by her mother and Davis’s body discovered nearby.

Prosecution Reveals Letters in Haywood Case
In Boise June 19 the prosecution in the Steunenberg murder trial presented four letters as key evidence against William D. Haywood. Orchard testified the letters dated San Francisco and Nome 1905 were falsely dated and delivered by federation agents to Mrs. Orchard to locate her husband. The letters, plus Haywood's own to Mrs. Orchard, were admitted over defense objections. Orchard insisted he had no grudge against Steunenberg and that he and federation leaders arranged the letters without prompting.
