Frederick volunteers finish Bicentennial traffic island plantings
City workers and Tasker's Chance Garden Club members completed planting 80 evergreen shrubs and 324 flowers donated by Marken and Bielfeld in the Market Street Seventh Street traffic island. The project, supported by Zonta Club funds and local committees, aims to beautify downtown Frederick ahead of the Bicentennial celebrations. Executive changes at the Frederick Community Concert Association were also noted, with Mrs. Leatherman re elected president for her 21st term and plans announced for the 39th annual membership campaign and a star studded 1975 76 concert series.
