Refusal To Rezone Upheld By County Board
The County Board upheld the Planning and Zoning Commission in denying Bruce E. Cram’s request to reclassify 3,500 feet of land on U S 15 north of Harmony Grove from agricultural to commercial. County attorney Goodrce Byron cited the legislative nature of zoning amendments and said no substantial change justified the rezone, while the commission noted the area’s character and current land use. Market reports show heavy trading and uncertainty in New York with space age issues leading activity and Ford stock advancing.
