Enrollment last term reached 8 763 and is expected to exceed 9 300 this September, with new teacher contracts approved for 1954 55 and numerous resignations and custodial appointments listed across county schools.

Studebaker And Union Cleared By NLRB Examiner
Washington June 14 government examiner Arthur Leff of the National Labor Relations Board absolved the Studebaker Corp and a union of charges that they coerced employees into buying cars from Studebaker. He ruled there is no illegality in an employer or with a union conditioning product support on employment, unless it forces a worker to join or quit a union, preserving free choice of union affiliation.
