Austin Z. McDevitt junior, a Naval aviation trainee and Buckeystown School alumnus, was killed when struck by a plane propeller while stationed in Atlantic City. He had entered the Navy in 1942 and served at Norfolk Jacksonville Newport and other bases. Surviving relatives include Thom McDevitt and Ruth N. McDevitt with guardianship by Alton Bennett. siblings in Baltimore and Elkridge. Funeral arrangements pending.
