Morrison claims unexplained $1600 tire fund and Hale payments
Mer Morrison declared the $1600 discrepancy had no public explanation while the former chief fleak Michael’s account noted. He said the $100 was spent on secret service work and that Knox ordered the $1000 payment. Tittman, boundary commissioner, testified Hale received $5000 beyond his $20,000–$25,000 estimate, with the state department unaware, and the subpoena to Secretary Knox is returnable today.
