Fredericks Branch Discusses Auto Clubs and Gas Tax Opposition
The Fredericks branch of the Maryland Automobile Association held its first meeting at the State Armory addressing what auto clubs are and their benefits. Speakers including State Senator Edward Colgan and Keystone Club managers argued against Maryland's four cent gasoline tax, noting higher costs than Washington and potential savings from federal excise tax cuts. The group emphasized community support through membership and discussed legal referendums and future actions.
