Love's Fool in Lakemere Ends in Tragic Split
In Lakemere two artists Rich ard Thorne and the hunchbacked Henry Butler sketch a pastoral seaside scene while a love triangle forms with Rose Lathrop. Butler battered by envy and unspoken love slashes Roses portrait in a jealous fit and, later, dies by falling from a roof, leaving Thorne to grasp the consequences of desire and friendship.
