Lotus IBM buyout wins approval at 3.52 billion

Lotus Development Corp agreed to be bought by IBM for 64 a share, valuing the deal at 3.52 billion and turning a hostile bid into a friendly one. IBM and Lotus executives outlined swift integration while Lotus will keep its name and Manzi stays on as a senior IBM executive. In a second item, tugboats freed the 600 foot Royal Majesty near Nantucket after it ran aground in shallow water with 959 passengers and a crew of 500 plus. No injuries reported.

Stealth bomber makes first foreign flight to Paris Air Show

The US Air Force B-2 stealth bomber arrived at Le Bourget after a record 11 1/2 hour flight from Whiteman AFB Missouri, piloted by Brig. Gen. Ron Marcotte. It also logged a 5,000 nautical mile transit over the north Atlantic via the Netherlands, simulating a bombing run before landing near Paris.

In Kuala Lumpur officials and media reported finalize a U.S. North Korea nuclear deal may hinge on key words after a tentative accord on dismantling North Korea's nuclear program.
