General Ely to lead shift in Indochina defense plan
Gen Paul Ely appointed to reshape Indochina defenses after the fall of Bien Phu signals failure of the Navarre plan. Paris, Hanoi, and Geneva discussions frame a broader Southeast Asia defense effort with generals Valay and others coordinating with allied nations. Military action shifts focus from tactics to strategic reorganization as political factors loom large in the crisis. Meanwhile at Price Electric, Husky Social Club hosts a shrimp feed with executives Roughan and Wolfe in attendance.
