Raleigh Boaze a Knoxville reenactor faces Frederick County schools ban on bringing a flintlock gun knife and tomahawk for history lessons. Delegate Kevin Kelly and the Maryland State Rifle and Pistol Association back a proposed law allowing guns for historical demonstrations and safety courses with knives allowed only with principal approval. The bill, while debated in Annapolis, would clash with existing state law prohibiting firearms knives on public school property unless exempted.
