RESA Branch At Detrick Plans Awards
The Fort Detrick branch of RESA will install new officers and award Hood College C. Burr Artz Library and a mystery Fort Detrick guest at the Peter Pan Inn this evening. RESA has funded science seminars for Frederick High School Singapore Junior-Senior High School students under Dr Harol Neufeld and provided judges for county science fairs with a $25 bond and Scientific American subscription for winners. Dr Randle Elliott of Hood College and Miss Josephine Etchison of C B Artz Library attend the RESA banquet to receive annual cash awards to these institutions dating back to the early 1950s. Competing candidates also on hand.

RESA banquet honors and secret award at Urbana dinner
The reserve for the outstanding science achievement award at a Fort Detrick event remains secret as RESA hosts a 6 30 p m dinner in Urbana with Col Carl S Casto Lt Col M F Massoglia in attendance. Dr Gail M Dack of the University of Chicago will be the featured speaker. New RESA officers and retiring officers are named for the Peter Pan gathering with governance continuing among Dr Lloyd H Graf Dr James Beebe and others. A separate note reports 16 year old Michael W Hawks of Baltimore drowned after falling from a yacht near Rock Point Shoals. Coast Guard identified the boat owner neighbor George F Geahr. he and his wife were reportedly missing but later found in good condition.

In Circleville Alfred Willson Bosworth dies at 84, a developer of processed foods and long-time biochemistry staff at Ohio State College of Medicine.
