Frederick area job market shows steady summer hiring
Manpower Inc survey indicates 41 percent of Frederick area employers expect to hire during July to September, 7 percent plan cuts, and 52 percent foresee no change. Last year hiring optimism was higher at 47 percent with 3 percent cuts. Nationwide, 30 percent expect expansion and 6 percent cuts. Prospects are strongest in services, construction, transportation public utilities, finance, real estate, education, and public administration.
