Cats a Dainty Wood Warmed by Toasted Cat Delicacy in Italy

Northern Italy has embraced cats as a culinary item, especially in Azeglio Venice and Verona where butchers sell cats as rabbits. The practice is illegal, yet poor buyers persist. Cats are prepared by toasting with onions garlic parsley bay leaf red wine and herbs, boiled versions being less satisfactory. Some youths skin and soak cats before Christmas, then cook them on Christmas day. An alarm about cruel treatment exists as the law imposes penalties while an oat farming trend grows quietly to meet demand with 15 pound specimens fattened on milk.
