Hogan property sale ends retirement village plan in Frederick County
Frederick County officials paid $67,800 for a road right of way and Tiona Hogan has put her 10 acre New Design Road site up for sale after abandoning a plan for a 144 unit retirement community. Lawrence Hogan expressed heartbreak but said the house and land are too large to sustain. The rezoning initially limited development to 25 percent of the land and the project had relied on state financing to provide affordable rentals for seniors. The property is listed with Mackintosh Inc. Realtors and is part of a 3.3 mile improvement project on New Design Road.
