Aldermen Reject Brosius escrow offer for Carrollton project
The Frederick Board of Aldermen rejected Brosius Homes Corporation's proposal to leave over 67,000 in escrow with a third party for utility installation in Carrollton Subdivision fifth section. Mayor Magaha urged a certified check for the full amount to be deposited with the City Engineer. A special meeting was set after the Maryland Municipal League to reconsider the proposal. The board also approved a 1,551.22 bid by Joseph M. Grossnickle for street lighting in Carrollton and passed ordinances limiting parking on Linden Avenue to curb commuter use near the playground. The meeting included discussions on storm sewer litigation and a separate water and sewerage project.
