Truck Escapes as Concrete Truck Wrecks Through Wall
A tractor trailer loaded with concrete blocks crashed through a three and a half foot stone retaining wall on the Liberty road Walkersville intersection. Driver A C Ridgeway of Vienna Virginia, 26, was thrown aside but walked away with minor injuries after brakes apparently failed and the rig veered across the highway. The cab was wrecked and about five thousand dollars in concrete blocks and property were damaged. Ridgeway posted 37.90 collateral pending a hearing. police questioned whether brakes held or failure.
