St John’s at Prospect Hall Graduation Set for June 8
St John’s at Prospect Hall will hold its graduation service at 11 a.m. Saturday June 8 at St John the Evangelist Church on East Second Street Frederick. Valedictorians are Amy Elizabeth Singer and George Matthew Webster. Salutatorian is Melody Marie Talcott. Guest speaker will be Anita Puhala, public relations specialist with Miss America Pageant.

St Johns student wins state Washington Crossing award
St Johns at Prospect Hall senior George M Webster was named the Maryland state recipient of the 1991 Washington Crossing Foundation scholarship. The 1,000 dollar award honors George Washingtons crossing and supports students pursuing government service careers. George, 16, will attend St Marys College of Maryland this fall on a full scholarship studying political science and history.

Bring-A-Bike Day Raises 413 for St Jude
Sixteen children at Glade Towne Chapel Day Nursery joined a bicycle safety course and raised 413 dollars for St. Jude Children's Hospital. The program taught safety habits for bicycles tricycles and riding toys through stories coloring sheets and a supervised course. Director Joy Rowe said the effort aims to prevent accidents and aid cancer-stricken children.
