Boys 17 Sentenced to St Marys Industrial School for Larceny and Shooting
James Russell and Joseph Zimmerman, both 17, were found guilty of breaking into a warehouse and shooting Arthur Baker around May 13. Robert Holt aged 25 of Lewistown was killed near Greenmount Carroll County when a freight train backed into the stone wagon he was loading, burying him under a load of stone and dirt. He suffered internal injuries and a broken right leg and died en route to Westminster hospital. He worked for Thomas Bennett and Hunter road contractors. survived by his parents and many siblings.
