Washington June 3 Borian Bakhmeteff whose status as Itusalan ambassador here has been controversial since the Kerensky government collapsed five years ago has been notified by the State Department that his credentials will not be recognized after June 30 The department acted after Bakhmeteff offered to retire if Washington desired it The ambassador said liquidation of war related property claims had been the chief recent duty and was nearly finished The correspondence publicized also announced the termination of Bakhmeteff's duties and stressed it does not affect recognition of the Soviet regime in Russia
