Mad Bull Attacks Eather and Son in Utica

A report from Utica dated June 4 describes a mad bull attacking Charles Jew Okt and his son. The elder Jewett died from internal injuries after the bull trampled him, and the younger Jewett suffered multiple broken ribs as he cried for help. A shepherd dog attacked the bull’s legs, distracting it enough for the father to strike and force the animal away.

Philadelphia June 4 Two were killed and four injured in a boiler accident at the Midvale Steel and Ordnance Company’s works Nicetown. The dead are listed as Bent Seaneit Cennan Krotiun. The four men were cleaning a boiler when a blast and steam engulfed them, knocking one worker into a wall and trapping others.
