Spring Ridge rises as East Frederick moves to new school
East Frederick Elementary transitions to the 5.4 million Spring Ridge Elementary, a 21 acre air conditioned campus two miles east of Frederick. Students gain more fields and modern features, including a video system in classrooms and a computer in each room, while staff anticipate better libraries, storage, and facilities. The move, with mascot Kangaroo and blue and white colors, ends 40 years at East Patrick Street with a farewell on June 14 and a dedication in early fall as Spring Ridge opens.
