Tomorrow’s warning and a naval leader’s grave cue
A wartime style warning from Admiral Robert B. Carney warns that the world may face a graver, broader threat than prior conflicts as the Soviet Union operates in a gray area between peace and war. The message, cleared by State and Defense, reflects concerns voiced by Admiral Arthur W. Radford about halting Communist expansion and the dangers of diplomatic deception and social disunity in Indo China. Cadet Sgt First Class Patrick P.D. Shipley, son of Mrs. Harry Shipley, graduates with an English Business diploma from Greenbrier Military School, having held wrestling and football roles and participated in school journalism and Hi-Y activities.
