Garbage Truck Collides With Parked Truck on Court Street
A city garbage truck drifted into a parked truck on South Court Street about 150 feet south of West Patrick Street causing about 110 dollars in damage. The operator was Thomas M. Hill and the other vehicle was driven by Charles R. Smith. No charges were filed.

Mrs Hooper Discharged After Auto Crash Tragedy
Grayson Hooper wife of the deceased and baby Allen Wayne Hooper lingered after a Charles Town Va crash that killed her husband and two year old daughter. The three month old son showed head injuries but improved. Relatives from Thurmont and Baltimore were treated for injuries. Funeral plans set for Grayson Hooper and child at Pleasant Hill Church in Yellow Springs with Elder Samuel Weybright presiding. Interment at the adjoining cemetery.

Warships Carry Middies On Cruise
A flotilla of large gray warships with 1825 midshipmen sailed down Chesapeake Bay ending Naval Academy June Week. An additional 681 ex midshipmen graduated yesterday while the brigade prepares for summer training in the United States. The ships include two battleships two cruisers and 18 destroyers with the first and third classes aboard. The second class will train in amphibious and air programs this summer. Western Union reports say electricians and other workers remained on the job as negotiations resume Monday.

Circus Tent Blown Down By Storm in Fitchburg
A sudden wind and rain toppled a circus menagerie tent in Fitchburg, Massachusetts as 2,500 people exited. Four injured, including two children, were hospitalized for shock and injuries from whipped boards. Eight others suffered minor injuries.

Pushed Sailor Under Bus Police Charge

A 3 alarm blaze swept a Baltimore water front lumber company. A motorist reported the fire at 12 20 a m and by 1 a m Fire Chief Michael Lotz said the MeLes Lumber Co blaze was under control. Firefighters moved lumber to fight it as the fireboat Cataract assisted. The fire started on the first floor of a two story brick office building and spread through a tin shed to a wooden Quonset storage shed, with damage confined to the office, connecting shed and part of the storage shed.

Father And Son Die In Dover Air Base Crash
Two carpenters died in a collision near Greensboro Maryland as they traveled home from work at Dover Air Force Base. The victims were Raymond Deron, aged 30, and his father William Deron, about 60, both residents of Denton Maryland.
