Court overturns murder conviction of Scotland Williams
Maryland Court of Appeals reversed the 1995 conviction and death sentence for Scotland Williams in the 1994 double murder of Jose Trias and Julie Gilbert at their Severn River weekend home near Annapolis. The ruling cited prejudicial trial errors and allowed for a possible new trial.
