Germantown Youth Killed in Maryland Car Crash
A 16 year old Germantown youth Remus W Hungerford Jr died when the car carrying him lost control on Md 117 and hit two trees. Passenger David Lawrence Bancroft 18 of Boyds was in good condition at Suburban Hospital. Police said Bancroft’s car was going fast over a rise when control was lost and the vehicle struck a tree then a second tree broadside. Hungerford was pronounced dead at the scene. charges are pending.
